Reporter Mike Sullivan has an update on East Coast guard Kyle Callanan, who has done some good work for the Albany City Rocks ...

Kyle Callanan, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound lead guard from the Albany City Rocks AAU basketball program, has had a solid summer so far playing for Jim Hart's team.

"He played well for us at several events," said Hart. "I feel very confident when he has the ball in his hands. He might be our best ballhandler."

Callanan is expected to compete starting tomorrow at the Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida at the Wide World of Sports complex.

"He has a very good basketball IQ," said Hart. "He seems to make the right decision most of the time."

Callanan, who hails from Mount Anthony in the state of Vermont, can play either backcourt position.

"Physically, he is improving too," stated Hart.

Schools are now starting to watch his progress and will likely take some more looks at his game while down in Florida.

Holy Cross, Maine, Fairfield, Stony Brook, and Central Connecticut have been mentioned as schools of interest.
